In 1976, while attending Johnson State College, I was working as a DJ at the college radio station.  Back then, Johnson had quite a large album collection. Yes I said albums. About 10,000. One of the things I enjoyed most was going back into the countless rows of albums, and pick out albums with cool covers and play them during my show. Hence, my introduction to the Good Rats. The "Rat City In Blue", album to be specific. What a great sounding album. A great cover and artwork too. My favorite song off the album is, and still is, "Advertisment in the Voice".  My sister and brother also liked the album, and we would play it when ever we got together. My sister loved, "Hour Glass", and my brother enjoyed, "Yellow Flower". All good songs.

So here I am, turning 50 this year. My wife and I own this wonderful restaurant and pub. Let's google the Good Rats, and see if they are still playing. Sure enough, they are. I wonder if we could get them here, in Montgomery Center, in Vermont, all the way from St. James, Long Island New York? Well, they are coming.

I look forward to seeing my brother and sister here. Bro from Fort Myers, Fla. Sis from E. Granby, Conn. Also everybody that is excited about this party too. Let's hope for great weather. Because, you know how beautiful Vermont, and Montgomery is that time of year.

I also want to thank the Good Rats for coming to Vermont. I would also like to thank the Stray Dawgz for their support and entertaining us that afternoon. If I know these guys, there will be several other musicians joining them that afternoon. Why not! An open jam outside. Down town  Montgomery. Maybe another Snow Shoe first.

     See you there............................!
